Transplantation Surgeon

The University of Southern California is recruiting a full-time faculty member at the Assistant Professor level with expertise in abdominal transplantation surgery. The candidate should be board eligible in surgery and have completed a surgical fellowship in liver and kidney transplantation as preparation to join a six member surgical group. The clinical practice of the group is large volume and includes cadaveric and living-donor liver transplantation in adults and children, cadaveric and living-donor adult kidney transplantation, pediatric intestinal transplantation, adult cadaveric pancreas transplantation as well as non-transplant hepato-biliary surgery. The broad, high-volume exposure is ideal for the young faculty member who is looking to expand his/her surgical and management capabilities. The candidate should be prepared to participate in clinical trials as the group is very active in pharmaceutical and investigator-initiated studies as well as academic publication. The abdominal transplant program has an ASTS approved fellowship and resident support which offer teaching opportunities for the recruit. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an interest in bench science with translational application and have a funding record. Applications for minorities and women are encouraged. Interested candidates should send their CV to:
